Formation of hub–filament structure triggered by a cloud–cloud collision in the W33 complex

ABSTRACT Hub–filament systems are suggested to be the birth cradles of high-mass stars and clusters, but formation hub–filament structure is still unclear. Using FUGIN 13CO (1–0), C18O (1–0) SEDIGISM (2–1) survey data, we investigate in W33 complex. The complex consists two colliding clouds, called W33-blue W33-red. We decompose velocity structures by fitting multiple components find a continuous monotonic field. Virial parameters Dendrogram suggest dominance gravity W33-blue. strong positive correlation between dispersion column density indicates that non-thermal motions may originate from gravitationally driven collapse. These signatures filamentary result gravitational collapse compressed layer. However, large-scale gradient mainly cloud–cloud collision feedback active star formation, instead filament-rooted longitudinal inflow. From results observed above, argue triggers Meanwhile, appearance multiple-scale likely an imprint transition layer system.
